Saw the butterflies - they were great. We had alot of joy and wonder in there. One thought Lumin might be made of nectar and licked him. This worried him. I had to gently make it fly away. It was better than the butterfly room in the Damien Hirst because if they landed on you, they were allowed to stay rather than have a gallery assistant pick them off with tweezers. I think art should inspire awe and wonder... its so much more awesome having to stand still looking at a huge butterfly on your sleeve hoping it will stay as you study its tiny beauty...

There are days when I want to burn everything til its white dust. This is one of those days. From the sea of white powder I imagine I'll emerge glowing magnesium bright and dissolve into a million stars, finally free.

David Bowie at the V and A. Over curated, unimpressed. I really wanted to see his costumes properly and so much of the space had been taken up with unnecessary exhibition materials that there was little room for viewing. Also costumes were obscured by staging effects. This was just annoying and overcomplicated. I did get something out of the surround sound end room and it was worth going to see but a bit like fishing for pearls. Much of the exhibiting was interesting stand alone ideas but distracted from the objects on display. Of course the rest of the Vand A is also well worth the visit no matter how many times one has been before and so the whole experience was a good one. There are exquisite additions to the jewellery room and the whole place is wonderfully packed with inspiring art. Its a great blessing to have this wonderful collection available for free.

completely original ideas - i used to strive for this but in truth no ideas are original - this understanding gives rise to a new freedom - the freedom to curate the ideas accumulating within in such a way as to give them subjective expression - my subjective expression - the authenticity to come from the re-ordering
